AP United States History
A college level U.S. History course preparing the student for the Advanced Placement Exam.  Students will develop analytical skills necessary to deal critically with problems and material in the study of U.S. History. 

World History
Examines the history of the Western World from the first civilizations of the ancient world to the rise of modern nations.

AP World History
A college level World History course preparing the student for the Advanced Placement Exam. The course emphasizes relevant factual knowledge, leading interpretive issues, and skills in analyzing types of historical evidence.

U.S. Government
A comprehensive study of the principles of government and politics in the United States of America and abroad.

AP U.S. Government 
This course will prepare students to take the Advanced Placement Exam in U.S. Government and Politics.  The students will develop an analytical perspective of government and politics with its various institutions, groups, beliefs, and ideas that constitute  it.

Economics
Emphasis on the Free Enterprise System and its benefits economically, socially, historically, and culturally.

Current Events
The class studies the effects of domestic and global events on the United States and the global community.  There will be discussions on the issues of the day, such as war, economics, and daily changes in American society and how Americans feel about the changes.

History Topics: African-American History
A study of the African background and place of the African-American in the United States. Emphasis is on the contributions of the African-Americans in every period of United States History.

History Topics: The Civil War
An in-depth study of the causes, selected battles, leaders, and technological developments of the U.S. Civil War.

World Geography
Examines the physical and cultural characteristics of regions and landforms that comprise the world.
