Curriculum
Students enroll in grade appropriate core courses and select elective subjects from a long list of popular classes such as Drama, Photography, Art, Weight Training, and Psychology.
The Alexander School offers:

- 14 Humanities and Fine Arts courses
- 3 P.E. / Sports courses
- 11 Social Studies courses
- 3 Computer Science courses
- 3 Foreign Language courses
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The College Prep Program includes 26 units: The Standard Program + 3 Foreign Language units, 1 additional (each) in Math, Science, & Computer, and 4 fewer Electives.
Honors and Advanced Placement courses are offered in the folowing subjects:
- English
- Mathematics
- Social Studies
- Science
- Foreign Language
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Honors Courses
Honors courses are challenging and pursue a more in-depth study of the subject. Honors courses are available in most academic subjects and require student, parent, teacher and principal approval.
Concurrent Enrollment
Students with teacher and principal approval can enroll in a Community College, SMU or UTD for advanced studies in English, Math, Science, History, Art, Music or Computer. Both college and high school credit can be earned with successful completion of the course.
