Welcome to the Alexander School
We Offer Superior Education with the Privilege of Attention!
Offering Grades 7 – 12!
The Alexander School is a premier private school in the Dallas area, offering a college preparatory curriculum in a small school setting. Students in grades 7-12 enjoy a relaxed, friendly, and attractive atmosphere that is most conducive to learning. Limited enrollment insures that each student receives the personal attention that all young people deserve.
Established in 1975 by Director David B. Bowlin and named after Alexander the Great, the objective of the school is to guide the individual in achieving his or her full potential. Dedicated to personal growth and academic excellence, The Alexander School encourages each student through the individual attention provided by small classes. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and recognized by Texas Education Agency as an accredited secondary school, this program has produced five students with National Merit Recognition, two National Merit Scholars, and six AP Scholars.
This is a photo of a 4′ x 6′ mosaic created by the school’s art department. It is a copy of a mosaic of Alexander the Great found in the House of the Faun at Pompeii. The mosaic hangs in the reception area of the school and is dedicated to the memory of Sharon Meketa, the art teacher whose students started the mosaic.
